PREPARING
YOUR SONG.
Follow this checklist before submitting. Files prepped right means faster turnaround and a better result on the first round.
- 01Bounce your final mix as 24-bit WAV at 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz
- 02Leave at least 6 dB of headroom on the master bus — peak no higher than -6 dBFS
- 03Remove ALL processing from your master bus (limiter, clipper, master EQ) — no exceptions
- 04Confirm no inter-sample peaks or clipping on individual channels
- 05Include reference tracks (1–3 commercial songs that hit the energy / loudness / tone you want)
- 06Optional: notes on what you love about your mix and what you want enhanced
05 / Why Charlie
THE WORK
BEHIND THE NAME.
You've spent weeks on the mix. The arrangement is right, the elements sit where they should, and you're proud of it.
Now it needs the polish that takes it from "demo" to "release" — the part most producers either skip or hand to a $20 online service that runs your file through an AI and calls it a day.
Mastering is the difference between a track that gets skipped on Spotify and one that gets played out at festivals.
I master every Charlie Crown release with the same chain that's been on tracks released through Sony Music, Ultra, and Dim Mak — and played by The Chainsmokers, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, and Illenium. That same chain, on your track, hand-tuned to your sound.
Send me your final stereo mix. I send back a label-ready master in 4–5 days with the full deliverables package below. Don't love it? Unlimited revisions until you do.
06 / FAQ
QUESTIONS
ANSWERED.
What's the turnaround?
4–5 business days from when I receive your final files. If you're on a deadline, mention it in the intake — I can often expedite.
How many revisions do I get?
Unlimited. The price covers however many rounds it takes to get it right. Most clients land at 1–2 revisions because the onboarding call clarifies the brief upfront.
Will my master be loud enough for Spotify / Apple Music?
Yes. I target current loudness standards (–9 to –14 LUFS depending on genre + brief) with intelligent limiting that preserves dynamics. Your master will translate across DSPs, club systems, and headphones.
What if my mix has issues?
I'll flag it upfront. If your mix needs work before mastering can help (muddy low end, narrow stereo, dynamics issues), I'll tell you on the onboarding call — and recommend either revising the mix or upgrading to the Full Mix + Master service.
What file format should I send?
24-bit WAV at 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz. -6 dBFS peak headroom. No master bus processing. Full prep checklist on this page.
How do I send files?
After payment you'll receive an email with an intake form. Paste a Dropbox or Google Drive link to your file(s). No upload size limits.
Refund policy?
If I can't deliver a master you're happy with after the first round + one revision, full refund. Unlimited revisions means we work until it's right — not until I get paid and disappear.
